تفاوت برخی لغات انگلیسی

۱- فرق chair  با   seat :
Chair  به معنی صندلی متحرک است  .
Please, pick up your chair , and put it near the window .
seat به معنی صندلی ثابت است .
Fasten your seat belt please , before the plane takes off .
ضمنا  seat به معنی "جای نشستن " هم به کار می رود .
Have a seat , please .
2- فرق  light با bulbبا lamp :
Light  : به معنی چراغ ثابت است . مثل چراغهای سقفی یا چراغ ماشین .
Lamp : چراغ متحرک مثل چراغ زنبوری .
Bulb :  به معنی ، حباب ، گوی و جسم لامپ ، است .
۳- فرق  hear با  listen :
Hear   : شنیدن غیر ارادی است . زمان استمراری ندارد .
I don't hear you , please speak up .
Listen  : گوش دادن ارادی است . زمان استمراری هم دارد .
Listen ! someone is knocking at the door .
4- فرقin the street  با on the street   با  at the street :
In the street  : برای خیابان تنها بکار می رود .
Children shouldn't play in the street .
On the street  : برای خیابان با اسم بکار می رود .
My house is located on abidar street .
At the street  : برای خیابان با پلاک بکار می رود .
Our boss's house is at 19 abidar street .
5 – فرق older و oldest  با elder   و eldest  :
older  و oldest : برای همه چیز و همه کس حتی خواهر و برادر ها می آیند .
The older man went to store , but the younger one stayed outside .
elder   و eldest  :  برای خواهرها و برادرها بکار می روند . بعد از آنها  than  یا of   نمی آید .
My eldest brother goes to high school .
My elder sister got married last year .
6-  فرق great   با large  با big  :
Great  : بزرگ از لحاظ معنوی .
Gundhi was a great man .
Big  : بزرگ از لحاظ جسمانی .
My brother is so big that he cannot get on the taxi easily .
There are many big buildings in Tehran .
Large  : بزرگ برای چیزی که حجمی را اشغال کرده است .
There was  a large picture on the wall .
7- فرق match  با  race :
Match  : به معنی" مسابقه " برای بازیهایی بکار می روند که توپ داشته باشند مثل فوتبال ، بسکتبال ، پینگ پنگ و غیره .
A football match attracts most people .
Race  : به معنی " مسابقه" رای بازیهای بدون توپ بکار می رود . مثل دوچرخه سواری ، اتومبیل رانی ، دو میدانی ، بکس و غیره
In a ralley race , speed is most important thing for drivers
