e.g.  و  i.e. اينا چي اند؟

هر دو از لاتين گرفته شده اند و در نوشتار انگليسي خيلي مرسوم اند:

e.g. :

از ريشه لاتين "exempli gratia" گرفته شده يعني for example (براي مثال)

نمونه:
"Big cities, e.g. New York, London and Tokyo offer more exciting activities."

"You should hang out more with people in your own age, e.g. Tom, Kate and James."

i.e. :

از ريشه لاتين "id est" گرفته شده و يعني "that is." (كه است)

نمونه:

"He is rather confused, i.e. he is not sure what to do."
